And... just as the zodiac sign says, along with research and my owners findings, there are some things you need to know about me and other Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers.

We require patience and consistent positive training. Just like Gemini's need to learn to be more enduring in achieving their objectives. We also have moments of being strong headed with our extreme intelligent traits.

We are enthusiastic and can be hyper, thus more active than many other breeds. For this reason we do best when exercised regularly.

​

I prefer cool weather and can become easily overheated in hot weather.  I live in the hottest state Florida and make adjustments by lying on cool floors and taking breaks in the breezy shade.  Don't get me wrong, I love late afternoon walks, going to the doggie beaches and being outside!  I am fortunate to have a groomer who helps with my fur during the year.

Wheaten's can be protective of their families and, although they may bark in alert at strangers, they rarely get aggressive. I am told I make a great watch dog, but a poor guard dog.  Wheaten's are wonderful dogs and sometimes used for therapy while providing unconditional love.
